C&O Trading Group

Built from a changing global market

How disruption in the global supply chain became the foundation for a more connected way of doing business.

The C&O story

C&O Trading Group was born during one of the most disruptive periods in modern global trade. When COVID-19 reshaped the world economy, it exposed weaknesses throughout the global supply chain. Manufacturers struggled to secure raw materials. Shipping capacity tightened. Lead times became unpredictable. Freight costs changed almost overnight. Companies that had relied on traditional sourcing models suddenly found themselves navigating shortages, communication gaps, logistical challenges, and an increasingly complicated international marketplace.

For us, that disruption revealed something bigger. It showed us that the global supply chain did not simply need more suppliers. It needed better relationships, greater visibility, stronger communication, and people who understood how every part of the process connected.

We saw an opportunity to do things differently. Rather than operating as another layer between a manufacturer and a customer, we decided to build a company around direct access, accountability, and execution.

That became C&O Trading Group.

A better way to do global business

From the beginning, our philosophy was simple: get closer to the source.

We developed direct relationships with manufacturers overseas and built trusted partnerships within the countries where we operate. Those relationships gave us greater insight into manufacturing capabilities, raw material availability, production schedules, logistics, regulatory procedures, and the realities of doing business internationally.

Over time, those relationships became one of C&O's greatest strengths.

Today, our network extends beyond manufacturing facilities. We work with engineers, logistics providers, freight partners, quality-control teams, regulatory professionals, government stakeholders, and local partners throughout the global markets we serve.

That allows C&O to look at a project differently.

We do not see manufacturing, procurement, engineering, logistics, customs and delivery as separate transactions.

From trading company to global solutions partner

What began as an effort to create a stronger and more dependable supply model has evolved into a much broader platform.

C&O Trading Group now works across chemicals, raw materials, industrial manufacturing, fabricated steel, custom manufacturing, and international project development.

You may come to us looking for a specific chemical, a manufacturing partner, a custom-fabricated product, or a solution to a complicated international sourcing challenge. Our role is to determine the best way to make it happen.

Because of our direct relationships, we are able to become involved much earlier in the process than a traditional supplier. We can work with engineering teams during the design phase. We can collaborate with manufacturers on materials, specifications, fabrication requirements, production schedules, and cost efficiencies.

We can have boots on the ground during manufacturing to help oversee quality control. We can coordinate export requirements, ocean freight, customs documentation, duties, tariffs, and destination logistics. And we remain involved until the project reaches its final destination.

Relationships built beyond the transaction

International business is built on trust.

Many of C&O's most important capabilities come from relationships that cannot be created through a database or a simple purchase order.

We have spent years developing relationships directly with manufacturers and building connections within the countries where we operate. Those relationships help us understand not only how products are made, but how business actually gets done within each market.

It gives you access to an international network without requiring you to build that infrastructure yourself.

Whether navigating manufacturing requirements, local regulatory procedures, government processes, international shipping, or unexpected challenges along the way, our team is positioned to help find a path forward.

The supply-chain challenges that inspired C&O during COVID may have changed, but the lesson has remained the same.

That philosophy — relationships, transparency, communication, flexibility and execution — continues to guide how we operate today.

We are proud to have developed long-term customer relationships where C&O has become more than a vendor. In many cases we function as an extension of your procurement, manufacturing and supply-chain teams.

As demand grows, we grow with it — forecasting requirements, coordinating production, developing supply strategies, and building the infrastructure necessary to support consistent long-term volume.

A strong supply chain is built on more than price.
